Has anyone ever done a wedding in a field?? Fiance and I are having a teeny weeny wedding, like 20 people, all immediate family only. We will be having a small dinner reception at a resturaunt afterward. We will have a big reception later with all of our friends, but wanted something small and intimate for the actual wedding. We love a local park. It’s huge, has never-ending fields, overlooks the water, has some old amazing buildings. I’ve done some engagement photos for my clients there and I’m pretty familiar with the park.
We scouted out a location and found a pretty secluded area that overlooks the water with a giant tree. We were thinking of having a small table with drinks and maybe some cookies or small snacks. I was maybe going to make some of the tissue poms to hang in the tree. We won’t have chairs, but will be providing blankets for everyone to sit on. Our good friend is officiating. I’m a little unsure of how this will all look. While I don’t want anything traditional/formal, I’m worried it will look ridiculous.
Has anyone ever done a wedding in a field? Any tips, tricks, advice?
Here are some pics of some engagement photos I did last year to show you the location:
Are they not the cutest people ever?? Both of them are coworkers of mine at my day job.
