I have no suggestions, just wanted to state that I'm jealous!
i am amazingly jealous as well!
You might want to contact a wedding planner here in the US though. They may have done such a wedding, or may have contacts to make life a little easier for you.
My only suggestion is to consider Positano over Capri. For my money, Positano beats Capri any day of the week! Good luck, it will be beautiful no matter what you decide!
I agree about Positano. I am there right now, and just snuck away to stalk the boards while Mr. K takes a nap! If you do decide on Capri, look into Anacapri, the more affordable village on Capri, as opposed to Capri Town. I think Positano is much more "Italian" while Capri Town has a lot of chic shops but not as much character and charm.
My friend's daughter got married in Italy, and the photos were goregous!
I think you need a special form (like a marriage license but completely in Italian) that shows you're doing it of free will, not currently married, etc.
You have to get married in a town hall for a civil wedding...I don't think they do civil services outdoors. Catholic church weddings are really hard to do because of the pre-Cana requirement.
Super jealous, and good luck!
I spent time in Amalfi and Positano, and was told to avoid Capri (tourist trap). I enjoyed my stay in both cities, but I will let you know that taking the ferry in is the best way. We had a private driver which was nice but those turns can make you sick! The ferries run from Mid-april through October only.
Your wedding sounds like it's going to be so beautiful. Congrats.
I agree with everyone who has suggested Positano.
It's breathtakingly beautiful, and they are quite accommodating for weddings--I know two couples in the past two years who have been married there.
In bocca al lupo! (Good luck)!
thanks for all of the advice!
@mrs. kitten- i am dying to see your pics as i am thinking about wearing lia too. have a great time and i cant wait to see your recaps when you get back!
@mariavvisa- do you have any specifics on their weddings you can share? places/cost/planners/etc... anything would help!
@sassypants--I sent you a couple private messages. Hopefully the info helps.
How crazy is it that you posted this? We were JUST talked about scraping our whole vow renewal here in the state and going to Italy and doing it there. :) I'd love to hear what you come up with. All I've really found is great hotels.

Greetings! We are seriously considering a DW in Capri, Italy. Does anyone know anyone who has done this before or could suggest any vendors? We are going over there in a few months to start the search but any help from the hive would be much appreciated! Thank you!
