I haven't picked a florist yet, but I am leaning towards Kebbie Hollingsworth... only because the few florists in the area that I've been able to find seem to suck and Kebbie didn't.
I haven't met with a florist yet in Pensacola. That's the next thing on my list, but I want to meet with Celebrations in a couple weeks and I hear they are supposed to be great. http://www.celebrationstheflorist.com/Site/Home.html

I think K Hollingsworth who MissACS mentioned is on the list as well.

Hey thanks for the heads' up! I am actually calling Celebrations b/c they do decorate the sanctuary of the church each sunday. I'll also talk to that other florist too!
Who would you use for entertainment? I honestly would love to have a beachy type of music and if I were Belle Gates (lol), I'd hire Jimmy Buffett myself to perform! Somebody fun like that! Or a band like that!
I'm getting married in Santa Rosa Beach at Eden Gardens State Park!! Where exactly are you getting married? If you're getting married closer to the Panama City Beach area, I can definitely help you out!
bellenga - We have not booked a florist yet, but I am going home to Pensacola in March to find one. And as far as entertainment, we just booked my FI's friend DJ Shadow (his real name is Roger). He used to be the DJ for Seville Quarter, and he's great. But, if you want a Jimmy Buffet type band, you might want to call a bar called Cap'n Fun on the beach, they have a cover band that plays there (or used to, I haven't lived there in a while) but they played a lot of his stuff, and they were good.
For florist - Fiore is fantastic! They are near downtown Pcola. Prices are very reasonable.
Hey everybody thx for the help! We're getting married at the 1st United Methodist Church there and then having the reception on the top verandah at Hemingway's..
So far, here were the 3 florists I was considering to use:
1)Southern Floral Traditions (got good reviews from the actual sites I've spoken with)
2)Celebrations: will meet with them when I come to town.
3)Kebbie Hollingsworth: liked her site, will add her to list for possible meeting
and will def check out Fiore too! I am right now on nouveau flowers' site and their work is beautiful also.
Would love any other suggestions! I think I may have found our reception music too!

Hey ya'll!!! I am a Texan who is getting married in NC but doing a trash-the-dress shoot in FL! haha We are going to be honeymooning somewhere around Destin and I just wondered if yall have any advice on reasonably priced photographers, from what I have looked at it seems like the photographers in FL are much more expensive than those around TX and NC... thanks for your help!

I'm going to be narrowing down the florists quite soon and then flying in town in a few weeks to have them meet me at my reception venue and at the church!
To be a smaller area both geographically and population-wise (than ATL), there sure is alot of creative minds in Pensacola! Some good stuff goin' on there :)

Catering, we're going with Nancys Haute Affairs. Cannot recommend Paul enough.
Photography, gwynnemark.com They've been great so far. Love their work. Great attitude.

DJ... this was tough because I felt there wasn't much out there. Boogie Inc. We'll see how it goes!
I'll leave our officiant and his day of coordinator wife out for now. They've been kind of useless so far. we basically had to write our own vows even though "custom vows" were part of his service/price. We tried to let him do custom vows, twice, but they were clearly cookie cutter vows as the wrong names were in there a couple times... and the other time, he gave us a highly religious ceremony even though we discussed something very different. PM if you want to check your officiant against mine to ensure you're not on the same path.
We booked Nancy's too. Our wedding is 5/30/10. We haven't decided if we're gonna do a food tasting. How was all the food? And service?
Food was awesome. Paul is awesome. Wedding is next weekend, so can't say more than that at this time

and our waterfront venue is Emerald Grande @ Harborwalk Village
We're using "Florals by the Sea" and they seem to be reasonable based on other quotes i've gotten
For music i'm going through Gulf Talent Services, they have a lot of different music types through them. I thought it'd be more expensvie going through a second party, but it was actually the only one i found in budget
And for photography we're using East Hill Photo, so excited, I love all his blog pictures

Thank you in advance to the lovely beach brides of FL's panhandle!
My question is who did you use for your florists and if you reside or have been to a wedding in Pensacola where did you have/see a waterfront reception?
I am leaning towards using the resort we have used for our summer vacation and they can make it all happen, but want to hear your thoughts too!
