We’re getting married in July 2014 and with the recession problems we are a little nervous about our reception venue being closed down during that time. We are getting married at a Country Club and whilst it’s been there for years, we’ve seen one or two others close this summer and thought it would be a very good idea to arrange wedding insurance in case of the worst happening. We are paying for it oursleves and certianly can’t afford to do it twice. The problem i have is that i am currently in a debt maangement plan (IVA) which is almost finished, but most insurers have in their small print that they cannot cover you. I understand the reasons why, but wondered if anyone else had come across this problem and how they arranged cover. I appreciate it may be a little more expensive…
Any suggestions? I’m really very nervous to proceed without insurance and our venue insists on the deposit by the end of this year so we have to put a fair amount of money down very soon.
