And I’m not talking about the University of Miami.
With all recent reports of this being a brutal hurricane season, I was wondering if the October brides who are in hurricane-prone areas considering getting wedding insurance. (BTW, I’m on the east coast of Florida.) What are your thoughts on this? If you’ve purchased wedding insurance, do you have any tips or recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I purchased wedding insurance because I was afraid of a snow storm. We also got insurance that covered alcohol liability in case any one did anything stupid and tried to hold us responsible since we provided the alcohol. My dad bought it through http://www.wedsafe.com . We didn’t have to use it so I can’t give any advice on their claims processes but my dad was really happy with the coverage he got for the price. We had a pretty high end wedding to cover and I think it was only like $150. They are also underwritten by a very large good quality insurer.

Haven’t booked the honeymoon yet…but I’m all for it. I’m a Sept. bride and we had our hearts set on somewhere in the Carribean.
Thinking we’ll just go “all in” and chance it, come what may now that I’ve heard of hurricane insurance! All or nothing, gotta live it up 🙂

We also used Wedsafe for both weddings, but I’m not sure if natural disasters are covered or not. Read their website for the info you need before buying anything.
