We went with the full set, we had a insert type invite with the reception & ceremony card, map insert, rsvp and RSVP envelope. We ended up spending about $6/$7 an invite (I cant remember the exact amount).

@Zzwei:  we did basic invite and rsvp card. Our venue provides directions & accomodation cards. We are also packing our save the dates with accomodation cards. Our invites we got off Etsy. I had to have lace on my invites. We spent about 850-900 on invites. We first went to several invitation places in the area. None had the wow that I wanted for the price I wanted to pay. One place quotes 2,000 for the exact same invites that I got. Only difference was that the invites would be a whole square inch larger (woop-dee-doo)- just was not worth another 1100-1200

I ordered from Ann’s Bridal Bargains (often advertised in the side bar here on Weddingbee), just ordered the invitations on premium stock, with matching RSVP cards, no inserts, and we paid a total of just under $250 for 50 invititations.

@Zzwei:  I doing VistaPrint. I should come in at $300 or less. I’m going cheap on invites because they just get tossed. If I didn’t have a budget, I’d spend more but I’ve got to cut the cost somewhere! 🙂

@Zzwei:  We’re doing a fancy, pocket, multipart invite, which would be out of our price range except we’re buying the parts printed and doing assembly oursevles.  Our semi-diy invites will be right around $4 each.

I bought blank sets at Hobby Lobby when they were on sale for half off and ribbon from Joe Ann’s Fabric. For about 70 invitations (not counting stamps) we probably paid about $40-50. We didn’t need or want intricate, fancy designs. We had the invitation, rsvp card and envelope, and a direction sheet. The looked great and simple, just what we wanted!

@Zzwei:  My invitations were $15.25 each including shipping.  They were boxed invitations that feature real dried orchid flowers and arrived wrapped in 3 sheets of tulle.  The invitation box with a snap was mailed inside another shipping box with a pretty shipping label. We had a separate reception card, as well as an RSVP card.  The RSVP reply envelope featured a custom stamp with a photo of my fiance and I, and the stamps cost another $60  The pinks lines in the photo are just there to cross out my personal information.

I should add that the reception card lists our wedding website at the bottom, and the website includes extremely detailed information about everything else.  As it is a destination wedding, we have interactive maps, accommodations information, important phone numbers, airport and travel information, local activities to enjoy in Maui, suggested travel itineraries from Frommer’s, etc.  We left accommodations and such out of the invitations as that information was not traditionally included in invites, and our beautiful website covers it all in great detail with links, websites, and phone numbers.

Ours are coming from Wedding Paper Divas (and we’re getting the pockets there too, rather than try to match them up elsewhere). I want to say it’s about $800 or so for invitations, pocket folds, RSVP cards, direction cards, and various envelopes for 120 invitations. I’m waiting for a good coupon to order them, but they’re under budget even without, so I’m not too concerned.

I did invite, postcard RSVP, direction card, and website insert card.

I ordered 100 and it was about $440 total.

I didn’t want to deal with printing myself and a lot of the cheaper sites like Vista Print…well I couldn’t find any I liked there I thought most were hideous.  Don’t have adequate software to design my own.  If I did…I would have done my own and used a printing service online to print them.

@Zzwei:  We had a smaller wedding, only family and bridal party, we wanted casual but nice so we DIY’d a really pretty invite with the rsvp on a nice envelope
