My wedding isn't until August 2013 but I have been looking at wedding invitations online and can't seem to find an invitation that I like or think is high enough quality. The high quality invitations that I do find are so EXPENSIVE! I don't want to spend $500-750 on invitations that our guests are going to either throw away (if they can't make it) or dispose of at the wedding. I am looking for simple and elegant invitations. So far I have looked at David's bridal, Bed Bath & Beyond, Wedding Paper Divas, etc. Maybe I am being too picky...Where did other Bees get their invitations? Did you do them yourself, were you satisfied with the results from where you got the invitations?

Have a look at Vistaprint. Lots of brides here on a budget love them!

basicinvite.com you can pretty much customize every aspect of the invite. I ordered samples and I like them but I found invites on weddingpaperdivas that I like alot more.

Have you tried etsy? They have lots of designs that sell for $25 for the file, and then you can print yourself or print through an online printer like catprint, and still get a higher quality paper, etc.

a lot of bees buy the diy kits at michaels or elsewhere and use the discount coupon.

i found that all of the invites that i really liked were very expensive too.  i ended up buying a simple black and white diy set with everything included.  i then bought ribbon in my theme pattern and incorporated it with my invites. they looked just like the ones i was admiring online.

they turned out great.  i had many compliments.  the good thing, instead of paying $8 each they were only $1 each.

I am leaning towards the DIY route but I am so not crafty or creative! LOL. My MOH suggested using the website MyGatsby.com where you can do half the invitations yourself and the other half is done by them. Has anyone used this website? They have some gorgeous papers and invitation ideas.
