- Wedding: July 2014
Hello all, I am in desperate need of your help as I need to order our wedding invites asap.
Here are the facts:
Fiance and I are paying for most of the wedding; listing parents names would be too complicated as my parents are divorced and have remarried; we are not getting married in a church but will likely have a pastor officiate. We’d like to go with the following:
TOGETHER WITH THEIR PARENTS
BRIDE NAME AND GROOM NAME
REQUEST THE PLEASURE OF YOUR COMPANY
AS THEY UNITE IN MARRIAGE
(WEDDING INFO INCLUDING SITE ETC… CONTINUED)
Should we go with request the pleasure of your company “as they unite in marriage” or “at their wedding” or “at their marriage”? Which is more formal/proper/commonly used?
Why is this sooo difficult?
