how many guests are you having? does that $900 include postage to your guests? are they flat printed invitations or letterpress

the price of invitations is astronomical. but 900 seems like a lot to me, unless you have a couple hundred guests.

have you thought of getting someone on etsy to do your invitations? it could potentially be cheaper.

Yikes that’s a lot! I bought 200 magnets, 300 custom envelops, then a bunch of random stuff (calendars, phone case, photo books, etc) w/ two groupons the total cost for all of it was $82 including the shipping and everything. That was a little more than I wanted to pay but all the extras kinda made it worth it. I ordered 30 sample invites and it looks like my invites will cost about the same.

We bought 60 printed save-the-dates and 60 letterpressed invites (invite + RSVP card + insert + 2 envelopes) for $500. If we had done print, not letterpress, it would have been about $250, I think, but I really loved letterpress.

I got Save the Date magnets for $50 and I think they are cute. All my guest keep texting me telling me how adorable they are, I have even had a few people send me pics of the holding them. I ordred them off Vistaprint

I got our save the dates from Wedding Paper Divas…we did postcards after I convinced FI that although magnets are nice, they will just end up tossed and i’d rather use that money elsewhere.  We paid a little under $200 (including taxes) for 150.  I will be purchasing our invitations from Anne’s Bridal Bargains…they have really nice invitations for a great price… for the invitations, envelopes and response cards (our reception is the same place as ceremony so we don’t need reception cards and am putting driving directions on our website) it will come out to be a little under $300.  You can definitely find the bargains..u just gotta look for them. 🙂
