Weddingbee boards

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share the good and bad of my day.   This might be long!

I was super-stressed the entire week before, because I was long-distance planning until the Monday before the wedding when we got to Vancouver (um, and I think a week staying with the in-laws didn't help).  The week before involved a lot of vendor meetings.  I was worried my stress would carry on to the day-of, but when it came all the stress was gone.  My hair guy even said that I was the calmest bride he'd ever seen. 

It actually rained the entire day, but I think the ceremony was even more beautiful BECAUSE of the rain.  Everyone loved the ceremony and our officiant (my favorite parts of the wedding as well).  I was able to talk to and spend meaningful time with (almost) all of my guests.  The big thing was, I've never seen my dad so happy.  Everyone seemed to have a great time and my vendors really came through.

Things that didn't work out?  Miscommunication between my and my husband meant that our parent dance song wasn't available to the DJ, so we couldn't dance to the song my dad had picked out.  The wrong alcohol was served initially, but the restaurant fixed it quickly.  Being cold and motion-sick in the limo.  My MOH and bridesmaid got way more drunk than I would have liked, and were having relationship/personal issues that definitely meant they weren't the happiest they could have been. 

In summary, though, it was a great day and the way everything came together made it better than I actually thought it was going to be!  Good luck to everyone still planning!  It's worth it.
