go get some cold fx and start taking it asap! that should help boost your immune system to fight it off. hope you feel better soon!
Take ZICAM! I swear by it. It best when use at the onset of symptoms but I have used it after my cold was full blown and it majorly lessoned my symptoms!
Follow the directions to a T.
I hate the tast of medicine but the strawberry chewable is actually bearable.
Good luck hun and feel better soon!
Go to the doc to see if it's viral or bacterial. If it's bacterial you'll need an antibiotic! Drink lots of water, oj, or tea and get lots of rest. Wellness vibes are coming your way!!!
And saty in bed as much as you can. I learned that bedrest is sometimes the best medicine. Hope you feel better.
Thanks everyone!!! Pretty sure it is just your average cold... it is just bumming me out and I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a bacteria. I am currently sitting with kleenex shoved up my nose and drinking neocitran... lovely!
@luvmyDwight: Is the ZICAM something you get at a drug store or health store? I've had a friend tell me to take zinc also, which I believe is the same as the zicam...
@hotchocolate: Oh noo! Feel better soon! I agree with the other bees, lots and lots of rest. If you're tired, sleep. I'm working through a sinus infection/cold combo right now, and I've been skipping most of my homework and reading just to sleep. Drink plenty of water/tea/other fluids to keep you hydrated and to help the mucus move (sorry, tmi, but it's better to get it all out now than be sneezing on your big day).
If you're really miserable, I swear by Vick's vapor rub on my feet under socks before bed. You'll clear your congestion out quickly.
@NDBee: Oooh thanks for reminding me about the vapo-rub. Got some right here! Haha. I am so attractive right now...
My wedding is this weekend and I was sick too! My fiance caught a cold last week, gave it to me, and now my maid of honor is sick! I stayed in bed as much as possible, took a ton of Emergen-C and Tylenol cold and I'm feeling much better. Hope you get better quick!
@hotchocolate: LOL, with my Vick's on my feet and chest/throat and IcyHot on my back for my TOM cramps, I smell like a peppermint factory! Heheh.
If it's just a cold, try Emergen-C. I swear it saved me the week of my sister's wedding. It's basically a powder you mix in water and it's something like 1100 times your daily dose of Vitamin C. There's lots of flavors and I really think it helps. Congrats and lots of positive vibes!
@hotchocolate: You can get it at any store grocery target walmart walgreens ect IDK if it's the same as zinc but I'm tellin ya it works!
@Robin_Sparkles: Oh yes! This is very good also!!! I just don't like the taste but I'm picky.
omg I'm on the same boat! its a little funny. But not. I'm getting married this friday and I am so sick! Im on 48 hours so I am feeling better, but I'll probably have a pretty bad cough that day. I've been in bed or on couch all day for 3 days and it has really helped. I havnt gone out or done anything. Tomorrow i'm doing light things that I cant send FI (like nails and waxing lol) then I'm going right back to bed and medicating!
Good luck to all us sickos!
It's not the same as Zicam. :)
If you have congestion, get Mucinex. It is AWESOME. Take vitamins, especially vitamin C!
I'm another vote for the vapo-rub!
Also, if you've got a fever at all, try this. It sounds crazy, but it works for me every single time! Before bed, apply rubbing alcohol to the bottom of your feet with a cotton ball, then put on a pair of socks and go to sleep.
Feel better!!!
oh no .... get well soon hun ..... vibes coming your way xxx
Oh jeez! Get TONS of rest and chicken soup! My mom still makes chicken soup when I'm sick...and I don't live at home. I swear it makes you a billion times better, though!
Thanks everyone!!! Update today: I took the day off work although unfortunately still had to do a ton of work... but at least I could do it from bed! I've been drinking lots and am currently having my first Emergen-C... which tastes totally gross, so I assume that means it must be working!
@PenelopeB: Feel better!!
Have you ever tried Cold-eeze lozenges? I swear by those and green tea anytime I catch a cold - I swear they shorten the length of a cold.
Hope you get well soon!!

I've had tons of crazy wedding fears and one of them was that I would get sick the week of my wedding. I went several months without catching anything, and now I'm lying in bed with a really bad cold and no energy to do anything! I so don't want to be sick at the wedding and sneezing and exhausted and gross. Send me your good health vibes to make it go awaaaay!!
