This should be under "Accesory" but I accident put it under "Decor" and don't know how to fix it. Whoops. I guess its getting late and I don't want to think about work tomorrow.
@sioux5ita:I really like your jewelry! But I will say that I bought a pair of earrings that I thought I loved before I found a dress. I ultimately returned them because they just didn't fit with the style.
I would at least get out there and try on some dresses just to get an idea of what you like on your body, even if you aren't where you want to be weight-wise. Wedding dresses are very flattering!
@Mrs.tobe
I did look yesterday, on a whim, and because the dress shops I hit up were limited to sample sizes, I got very discouraged and emotional afterward. I swore that I wouldn't go looking for a month or two because of the bad experience. It just brought all my insecurities up to the surface.
Oh boy, the wedding dress sample size debacle. Why do they do this to us?!
I have a lot of body image issues and have struggled with that my whole life. I typically wear a size 4/6, but I am definitely much bigger on top, with narrow hips/butt. When I went shopping, some of the samples wouldn't zip up because I am so broad across my ribs and chest. I wanted to cry and refused to consider dresses that wouldn't zip. Some of the samples were huge on me and needed clamps in the back.
Honestly, it took a lot for me to buy a dress in a bridal size 10 (sample dress), and I try not to look at the tag. I know how you feel, but don't let it get you down...the sizes are all crazy AND you are more than a number on a tag :)
PS I LOVE the accessories, but keep an open mind when shopping.
I think u are sort of limiting yourself with buying jewlery before the dress. The show stopper of the wedding is the dress everything else (besides the actual union and husband ) is secondary.

I went shopping today and found my earrings and bracelet(I'm opting not to go for necklace). But the thing is that I haven't gotten my dress yet. I am putting off dress shopping as long as I can before my March wedding so I can get down to a more ideal wedding weight. Any thoughts? I'm thinking I should be taking my jewelry and shoes with me once I finally go dress shopping? Feeling sad right now that I can't fit into a bridal 8 or 10. I'm more like a bridal 14 or 16, I think?
