Have you checked Etsy? There is some cute stuff is you search keepsake box.
Perhaps a hat box? A lot of craft stores will have very sturdy, paper covered boxes or tins that you could use to store memories in.
I wouldn't rule out scrap book....when will you open a box and pull out all the keepsakes? A book is a great way to preserve memories and readily show others. Lots of loose leaf scrap binders allow you to add pages and are very thick. If you add half as many pages you will definately have room for that bulk!

I don't know if anyone else has run into this problem, but I wanted to create a scrapbook or memory box for all of our wedding items such as ceremony, left over favors, cards, etc. However finding something to put it all into is proving to be difficult. I have ruled out a scrapbook because everything has so much depth it wouldn't fit properly. So I have narrowed my search onto a memory or keepsake box, which I can't find!!!
Does any one have any suggestions about where to find a descent well constructed memory box?
