So I mentioned on another post that I got inspired after reading Mrs. Sprinkle’s ceremony reading – a passage from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. I liked how it described love as something more quiet and lasting, using the imagery of two trees joined at the roots. It also reminded me of the joining of two families (“Family Trees”!), which I thought was perfect for a wedding. So I designed a kind of logo around it:

I thought it was something I could put on our invitations, which I am planning to do myself, and our programs, along with the quote. And it also gives us a springboard for our theme, which I have been struggling with for quite a while now.
What do you think? Good idea? Not so much?

I love this! Being the monogram freak I am, I’d probably sneak initials in the branches somewhere 🙂

Hi guys! Sorry to bump such an old thread, but I’ve found my drawing in a few places online. I sure don’t mind if you want to use this image on your blog or something like that, but if you could add a link back here or send me a PM first I’d appreciate it. I just don’t want to lose track of my drawing and find someone claiming it as their own. Otherwise I’ll have to ask to have it taken down from here.
(Thanks to those who did PM me, I really appreciate it, & hope you enjoy it as much as we did! <3)
I’m hoping to open a spot online soon to sell some more drawings, if people are interested!
