OK so I am booking my manicure and pedicure for the day before my wedding and wanted to get people’s thoughts on whether your manicure and pedicure need to match or not. Personally I am not a fan of a french pedicure, I like more color on my toes. But on the flip side I don’t like too much color on my nails, especially for my wedding. Can I really do a french manicure and then a solid color on my toes?!?!

I currently have a french on my nails and blue on my toes for my “something blue” and I love it!!

I’m doing French on my fingers and probably a red on my toes. My personal rule is you can have french on one and color on another, OR they can match, but I don’t like two very different solid colors for manicure/pedicure.

I was a nail biter, so mine were too short to do French. I went with a pale pink on the hands and then a funkier fuschia on the toes.

I did pale pink gel on my hands (like lilbluebird my nails are too short to do a proper french without adding tips…and tips are NEVER worth it, in my experience) and metallic silver on my toes. My shoes were cobalt blue (with silver glitter), so I didn’t want another color on my feet.

Personally I would do the french manicure it looks much better in pictures than color nails for a wedding. I had a french manicure for hands and colored toes

Personally I can’t stand it when my manicure and pedicure match. I’m also super obsessed with nail art at the moment, so even just having a solid color feels boring to me (I’m all about sparkles, accent tails, dots, etc.). So I’m a bit biased. But even if you like the more classic look, having two different colors is fine, keep them light or in the same color family to help pull them together.

I did a french on my hands and my feet, but looking back at pics, you can’t tell that I have any polish on my toes at all (I do have tiny little feet/toes), so if I could go back I’d do french mani, colored pedi–maybe one of your wedding colors?

I plan on doing a pale pink gel on my fingers, than a more fun color (probably hot pink) on my toes. I think it’s fun when they don’t match perfectly.

Thanks all for the quick responses. It’s nice to hear some confirmations of other people noth matching. I’m not a matchy-matchy person to begin with!
