Ok, I’m kind of going crazy with the music for the ceremony. My fiance and I were fine with using recorded music, but I digress…
My mom is very traditional and wants piano. I’m not that crazy about piano and want to ask an old high school friend who plays clarinet. His wife plays violin and I thought the two together would be fine. The ceremony is in a small church so I don’t think we’d need a lot of volume.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks.

I think the clarinet and violin would be beautiful and thats a nice compromise between you and your mom. She gets live music but you get the instruments you want. I’m using recorded music thats part of our DJ package that he will do the ceremony music. I would have loved live music to play our song. We were going to have our friend play the song on the guitar but I believe we are going to go with just the DJ.

The chapel we’re getting married in has a compulsory organist and we’re looking at a small choir (6 or so voices). I’d say look for pieces of music you like first, then decide which instruments work with it. My FH and I really love Thomas Tallis pieces so a choir was the obvious choice. Do you have any music pieces you feel are important to you and represent who you are and what you want?
