- Wedding: June 2012
I was wondering if anyone else was nervous in the months before getting married. At this point, I’m two and a half months out, and I’m sure that I love my Fiance and that he’s my match. I’ve just been really anxious lately about getting married.
A little background- we’ve been dating for two and a half years and got engaged last June. We were long distance from the time we started dating until about September last year (3 months after we got engaged). He moved to my college town to work while I finish my master’s.
I think I’m just nervous about all of the changes at once- thinking about being engaged, being engaged, changing from a LDR to seeing him everyday, thinking about being married. I’m happy about all of it, it’s just a lot to take in within a few months’ time. Not only that, but so many things change on the wedding day itself- miss to mrs., dependent on parents (sort of) to a complete adult, name change (somehow this weirds me out the most!), and other changes. All with a ring of permanency.
Again, let me reiterate that I love my Fiance dearly. I can’t image anyone better suited for me. He fits me in ways that I didn’t realize that I had gaps, and I’m so thankful that he’s in my life. I’m just nervous. The best way to describe it is that I have major test anxiety (can you tell I’m still in school?). There’s only one question, and even though I know that I know the answer, there’s always those nerves when you’re handing the paper in that somehow you’ve messed it up.
Basically, I’m posting to see if anyone else has gone through the same thing! I just want to make sure I’m not alone on this. Any other nervous test takers out there?
