Anyone else having crazy wedding nightmares all the time? I'm still a couple months out but I keep having these ridiculous nightmares, they're so crazy I know there's no way it would happen but it adds to the stress. Last night I dreamed that our venue just disappeared into thin air and we had to find a venue minutes before the ceremony began...and the only available location was a bandstand that looked like a giant clam. And as I was walking down the aisle I realized I had no makeup on and that I had the chicken pox.

I have have had some. I had very similar nightmares though when we went on our Hawaii vacation earlier this year too though. I always dream that I miss the plane, my fiance misses the plane, our hotel room is infested with bugs, etc etc. My recent wedding dreams/nightmares have included 1) us forgetting the marriage license, and 2) me forgetting my dress and the only dress shop I could find open at the last minute had hideously poofy 80's dresses. I know it sounds funny, but they always seem so real at the time!

I once had one that my FI's mom was trying to talk him out of it while we at the altar/under a chuppah in a catholic church. That was awful.

We are also having a hindu wedding so it was very confusing to boot :)

I've been having a few nightmares - I'm less than 2 months out and I heard they get worse as you get closer. :(  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  So far my nightmares have been that 1) no one was ready except my FI and I for the wedding, so our entire BP was in everyday clothes and 2) that our DJ sucked! and everyone was leaving to go to another reception b/c he was so terrible.  Both times I've had these I wake up in a terrible mood and it makes me even more stressed for the wedding.  I agree - it is only a dream...but still, it seems so real!

I had a dream that my FI planned the entire wedding to Iron Maiden (I greatly dislike heavy metal, but FI LOVES!) and then I told him that I hated our wedding and it was horrible and I wished I had never married him. Then he cried and I felt bad, so I told him it was really great and the best wedding ever.

When I told him about the dream, he asked if we could play "run to the hills" because it would be so appropriate.

I'm sorry, these are so funny, even though I know they must be horrifying to dream!

I've already had one where the wedding was moved back three weeks, and we had to have it even though nothing was done. Part of that dream was that I keep trying to get ready and every time I look in the mirror something had come 'undone' - my makeup had melted off, my tweezed eyebrows had grown back into bush-like monsters - it was absurd!

WOW. That must have been so upsetting, but it's hilarious. I started having wedding nightmares months ago. In one of them, it was the say of our wedding and I suddenly realized I had no officiant. And I hadn't bought a dress. And I hadn't sent out any invitations. It was totally stressful, but hilarious once I woke up.

I had my first one last night!  Not sure if I can call it a nightmare, but it was a rather odd dream.  Thinking back to the dream, I'm almost certain most of what was in my dream can be related back to WB discussions.  Before I went to bed last night, I remember I read about  posts concerning your FI seeing you before the wedding, dress alterations, whether you would walk down the aisle w/o a flowers, and something about a veil.  Sure enough all I can remember about the dream was sneaking around the church to avoid FI seeing me, and freaking out because I couldn't find my bouquet all the whilst pulling up my ill fitting dress and playing with my veil.  Yikes, no more WB before bed.

I've only had one so far (though I have a long way to go!), and I wouldn't really call it a nightmare because it had a happy ending.  In it, EVERYTHING went wrong.  I wasn't dressed, nothing was set up, it was raining but we were still doing it outside, there were only like five guests, and we didn't have a bridal party.  But then I got to the altar, and none of it mattered, because I was getting married to the man I love.  Cheesy, I guess, but hopefully a sign I wont stress over the details? Maybe??

I DO hope that all that doesn't go wrong though... Smile

I've had a few- the very first was a couple of years ago before he proposed.  We talked about getting married and all of a sudden I was backstage somewhere and I was told it was time for me to walk down the aisle, but I was wearing a black shirt and my hair was frizzy and I had on no make-up!  I was frantically looking for a comb and some lipstick and then I woke up.  It was so long ago that I consider it an "unofficial" wedding nightmare.  The other was just recently, in real life I ordered a lace bolero and I dreamt when it arrived, the seller had sent me the wrong item on accident- a cathedral length, quilted gold satin veil with little pink and green rosebuds and embroidery all over it!  I was so confused in the dream, lol.

I'm sure it will get worse as I get closer to the date.

I had my first wedding nightmare last night!!!!

It was HORRIBLE!!!! And I am a year out still - if they get worse....ARG!!!!!

After my ceremony at my cottagey wedding (which is NOT what I am having at all!) I was schmoozing with all my guests and I realized my photographer wasn't there and that I FORGOT TO TELL HIM THE TIME AND LOCATION!!!!  I woke up in a serious pool of sweat - the sheets were soaked - it was disgusting!!!!!
