You are SO not the only one. Just search the boards, there are tons of posts about bees having wedding nightmares. I have them every once in a while. It's a manifestation of your stress and anxiety about the wedding.
I had one where my wedding was in the food court of the mall I work at and I showed up in daisy dukes and a tube top. lol.
I'm having them too! But I feel horrible about mine.... :(
I dreamt about my wedding venue catching on fire and no one survived but my mom. I woke up in such a shock.
Nope you're not alone. I had them a lot about 8 months out from my wedding, they lasted about a month, then they stopped for a while. I'm starting to have a couple every now and then since we're just a couple weeks out, but they're more funny nightmares. I had one last night that FI was.. umm.... doing his business.... in the bathroom and made us two hours late for the rehearsal dinner! That's right, I dream that poop interrupts my wedding plans, LOL!
Don't worry, they're the worst at the beginning because you're stressed about all the little details. They'll go away :)
I have them nightly!! Last night's was that I realized 2 days before the wedding that my dress never came in and the bridal shop wouldn't give me a refund and I had to run to Macy's to find some kind of white dress. (Clearly that would never happen, but it was still stressful to think about in the morning!)
I always have terrible stress dreams when something big is happening in my life, so you're definitely not the only one!
I had some crazy ones.
Last night I dreamt I wore my dress to work so I could "test it out" (not sure why I needed to do that) and it was raining and it got wet. Then a pen leaked on it at my desk. :)
Date twin. :)
I had one the other day too-- I forgot to get my make up done so I looked like a little kid (literally, I looked like I did when I was 10), and then I started walking down the aisle before people were seated. So I had to turn around, go back and try again. And my dresses wasn't hemmed so I had to hold it off the ground and couldn't carry my bouquet. And then my groom kept talking to his GMs and didn't even notice me. Everyone else continued on with their conversations as well. It felt much worse in my dream.
Thinking about it makes me laugh now, but when I woke up, I was so relieved to realize it was only a dream and not how my actual wedding happened!
I think it happened because the wedding has been on my mind a lot lately and we've been making the big decisions, so it seems natural to me that it showed up in my dreams.
So glad to hear that I am not the only one! Not that I want any of you to go through the added stress of wedding nightmares, but atleast I know I am not going crazy. And now I see the related posts at the bottom of the page. :) Its so weird. I never have stress dreams. It was starting to freak me out. Especially since the groom is never anywhere to be found. I am like "is there something I should know?"
@Applestar13- That is terrible. That is what I would call an actual nightmare. I would have woke up freaked too.

So I have been having nightmares about my upcoming wedding. Its a little scary since my wedding is not until May! I am hoping that they dont get worse the closer we get to the wedding. The nightmares are pretty much the same with little differences here and there. The one thing that stays consistent is that the groom is always MISSING! In all the dreams, I can not find the groom and end up having to pull some random person from the audience to marry. WTF?!?!? Other things that happen:
I forget to pay the caterer so there is no food
The caterer just forgets to show up
I forget its my wedding day all together and am not prepared at all
I forget to get a marriage license
I forget my dress
The wedding is boring so I just decide to take off and leave all the guests there
etc, etc, etc!!!!!!
In one dream, I forgot everybodies clothes and the groom (who was not my acutal fiance because I could not find him) had to wear a plaid, baby blue tux and I had to wear this old, ugly lace frock.
UGGGGG!!!! I do not even feel that stressed out with planning this wedding. I am still 9 months out. Is this going to get worse when I actually do get stressed? Has anybody else has similar nightmares?
