Any waiting bees out there already having wedding nightmares?
I don’t know if it is because SO and I are close to getting engaged (I’m pretty sure he has the ring) or I’m just a crazy person, but I keep having wedding nightmares. Last night I had one where I couldn’t find my dad to walk me down the aisle. Another time I dreamed we didn’t have our marriage license and therefore couldn’t get married.
Anyone else in this boat?

Not very long ago I had my very first wedding dream at all.. I dreamt he didn’t show! Ack brain, why must you torture me so? I’m very affected by my dreams and so I woke up crying and of course he wanted to know what as going on so I told him. He promised that he would come to our wedding, so that made me feel a bit better.
Even though there isn’t even a wedding to come to yet :-p
I try not to think about it so much, then I dream about it less!

- Wedding: September 2013 - B&B
Yup. I had one where we were sitting around hanging out with some other people, and I made a joke to him like “Aw you never buy me stuff”. He goes “well what about the ring I bought you?!” And I looked down and there was a HIDEOUS blue and pink and white gemstone monstrosity on my ring finger. I was like “oh… um, what? Oh, I mean, yeah!!!” and then someone said “Hey, don’t you need to go get ready?” I said, “What?” And they say “yeah you’re getting married today!!!”
The rest of the dream was me running around trying desperately to remember the last few weeks or months where I knew this was going on, being shoved into a friends HIDEOUS white prom dress for my wedding dress (while I’m yelling “THIS IS ONE THING I DO ALREADY HAVE, WHERE IS *MY* DRESS!!!, since I did get my dress for free before we were engaged), and then trying to do my hair myself with like, no styling tools. I was so frustrated and anxious and stressed. Like, whyyyy couldn’t I remember getting engaged and planning to be married and hooowww did it get to be this thrown together and haphazard and SERIOUSLY WHERE WAS *MY* DRESS?!?!

Ladies, I am so glad to know I am not on the train to crazy town. I cannot confess to SO that I have these dreams. I’m sure he would think I had officially lost my mind!

I had a dream that my SO proposed last night, it seemed so real I actually freaked out for a second when I woke up. The dream was mostly good, but in it, the ring he bought was way too big and kept falling off my finger. For whatever reason, getting it re-sized didn’t occur to me. THEN the diamond started falling out and I was paranoid everywhere I went that I was going to lose it. What started out as a wonderful, happy dream quickly turned into a panic-inducing nightmare.
Glad I’m not the only one!

I had a nightmare in which some bulls managed to get into the church and started chasing my guests!
And I didn’t know where my wedding dress was, and I was at the church with a pair of jeans looking clueless because my guests were being chased by some bulls.

@arsing89: I was getting on here to mention my crazy wedding dream I had last night and then I saw your post.
It was my wedding day, I had a gorgeous dress and my hair was fixed and ready to go. I realized I never finalized a photographer but somebody showed up and was snapping pictures. I kept trying to get to him to tell him what shots I wanted to make sure to get but it was chaos and everyone was trying to talk to me at once.
Then I passed my Aunt on the stairs (who passed away in April) and I made the photographer stop and get a picture with her because I knew she was an angel and wouldn’t hang around for the wedding..(so weird..)
Then the venue turned into an old creepy house with lots of maze-like rooms. I got to a mirror and realized my hair was AWFUL and I had no makeup on and the wedding would be starting any minute. I grabbed my friend from high school (who I haven’t actually seen in years) and she started curling my hair but it wouldn’t do anything. Then everyone left so I tried curling it but my Grandma came in and told me to get a move on because I was 3 hours late.
Then I woke up to a kiss on the cheek as my SO (not yet engaged!) was leaving for work.
Whew! So glad that was just a dream.

- Wedding: May 2015 - Our church and then at The Garden Room for the reception
Yes. I had one where none of the tables or decorations at the reception were set up. I think there was also another dream where it was our wedding day, and I missed it.
I’m glad to hear that it’s not just me having these dreams!

@arsing89: before I got engaged I had ugly ring nightmares 🙂 now that I’m engaged I have wedding disaster nightmares.

I got engaged a month ago, but right after we got engaged I had my first wedding “nightmare” — I walked into the reception and all of the tables had these really dinky short tablecloths on them and looked horrendous. (Like they barely hung down at all) Haha! I haven’t had any more since 🙂

@arsing89: I dreamt I didn’t order food. It was my first and only wedding related dream, both pre and post engagement. IT WAS TERRIFYING!! haha!
