Hi SueMavelle. Where in the Bronx are you? My boyfriend and I are in Throggs neck and we'll also be getting married in Queens. He's originally from the Bronx and I'm originally from Rockland county.
Hi MissDoodles! I'm all the way up in Woodlawn, a neighborhood my dude fell in love with when he was in high school. He's from North Flushing, and I'm from Fresh Meadows, and we managed not to meet till he moved far away and came back. :)
Awwww, it was meant to be :) I'll actually be getting married in Flushing, at CitiField. Good to know there are other Bronx bees out there!
I grew up in Manhattan, my fi grew up in Brooklyn. We now live together in brooklyn, and are having our wedding in brooklyn as well. My mom is hosting a day after brunch in manhattan though!
And we have a nyc theme going throughout our wedding. My grandmother drew an awesome sketch of the williamsburg bridge for our save the dates and invites!
FI is from the bronx and im from brooklyn.. we are leaving the boro's and getting married in NJ.. wanted a different setting than the hustle and bustlle ..
I'm from Brooklyn (but living in Queens) so we're getting married in Brooklyn and having the reception in Staten Island.
MissDoodles - are you getting married at the stadium itself? My FI will be so jealous, he's a huuuuge Mets fan!

Hi bees!
So I'm living with the hubby in the north Bronx. I had dreams of getting married in Brooklyn (at the botanical gardens there), but we've decided on a spot that leaves us technically in the city but on the Queens side. Guess it was due to happen, as we were both raised there!
I just love the boroughs of the city and their different characters.
So tell me NYC ladies, any of you living in one borough but getting married in another? Or better yet, are you and your hubby from different NYC locales and are meeting somewhere in the middle? Do tell!
