- Wedding: September 2013 - Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park
So my husband is in the army and so is my younger sister. Jacob asked two of his friends to be groomsmen (they said yes!) and my younger sister is my maid of honor. With less than 3 weeks before the wedding, my little sister had to drop out because she is getting deployed and has training that weekend (her pass got denied) and now Jake’s friends may not be able to make it because the army messed up their pay! So if this happens, he only has his best man (his brother) and I will have 3 bridesmaids!
I never thought things would fall apart like this! I am so stressed and don’t know what to do!

I’m so sorry to hear. When my friend got married, her brother, who was a groomsmen, found out he had to deploy THAT MORNING! Her parents were up all night.
Regarding the aisle, you can have two women walk together and the bm/moh walk together.
Everything is going to be fine. I wish them a quick and safe return!

How stressful! I’m sorry you have to deal with all this. As PP mentioned, you can have BM/MOH walk together and the other two ladies walk together. If you don’t like uneven sides you can reserve tow seats in the front row for the two BMs so there is one person on each side of you and your FI.

We have an uneven wedding party, and I have seen several lately and it’s not a huge issue. Have the one groomsman walk out the bridesmaids (one on each arm) or something like that. Photographers will often have solutions for “mixing up” the party so it looks great in photos.
That is really stressful though, I’m sorry!
