We are having an intimate wedding of 30 people, and opted to have different pie varieties as opposed to a cake. We expect people to try more than one pie, so we were going to have around eight pies.
Any flavor opinions would be appreciated. Don’t be afraid to vote for more than one!
And because we’re nerdy and FI is an accountant, here is the “Pi” server we are using:

I agree with you, who doesn’t LOVE pie? That sounds great!

I would choose whatever is in season at the time! Pumpkin/custard/apple for fall/winter berry/stone fruit pies in spring/summer!

Is it wrong that I want almost all the pies?

Just wanted to pop in and say hello Fellow Pie bride!! We served Pie at our wedding as neither of us like cake and it was a BIG hit. We had apple & pumpkin & a whole table dedicated to the pies. 🙂

I don’t like most pie, but I think I would like the coconut custard pie. I think most people could find something they like out of 8 pies. Out of curiosity, are keylime, lemon meringue, and chess pie regional? Those are super popular pies when it isn’t thanksgiving, where I live.
I love the pie idea though. It sounds like you will have a lot of variety!

Oooh. I chose everything except pumpkin pie (because it’s not a thing where I live, and I just can’t imagine liking it), sour cherry pie (because I don’t like sour food), and shenendoah peach pie (because I don’t know what a ‘shenendoah peach’ is).

Heads up…sweet potato pecan pie. So delicious and not overly sweet like some pecan pies can be.

@BeeandBeeBride27: I picked all of these, minus coconut & strawberry rhubard. PIEEEEEE <3

Who are these people that aren’t voting for every pie?

@angelalsmith3: Thank you! We are not big cake eaters, and given it’s an intimate wedding I could not justify spending $500 on a huge cake!
@remijp: Good tip! We will almost certainly have pumpkin, because our wedding is in the fall 🙂
@AlwaysSunny: Not wrong at all. I don’t judge 🙂 I’m SO excited for the Pie tasting OMG. It was also one of the few vendor appointments that FI has been enthusiastic about lol.
@MsGinkgo: Love key lime! But it’s not available at the place we are purchasing, and in reality finding a good key lime where we live is damn near impossible. Perhaps that will be a quest for the honeymoon? I’m sure Jamaica has good key lime 🙂
@MrsHoneyC: OMG I love your topper! How did you present them? On multi-level tiers or what? I’m so torn on what to do, there are so many great options!

@BeeandBeeBride27: I cant seem to find a better photo of the table for you… but we had a vintage inspired wedding so i collected cake stands of all different shapes & heights and then set the pies ontop of them 🙂 –also the cake topper was silly DH loves lego so i wanted to give him something fun as a surprise– haha Corny but cute.

@Follydust321: What is chess pie? I saw some of those on our baker’s menu (like Lemon Chess Pie) but I had never heard of it.
