Hope all your plans are coming along! My venue is requiring me to have a day-of coordinator…which is totally fine, I was planning to hire one anyway…My question is…how much should this service cost? Our wedding is in Raleigh, NC.
Also, is all this planning stressing anyone else out???

@Seansgirl75: Hi and welcome! My venue comes with a planner and doc included, which is fantastic because they can really help with all the little things.
Planning isnt stressful yet, I just hate having to call vendors and chat on the phone about their services. Ugh, I never know what to ask!!!

I am in the same situation as PP, my venue comes with a DOC, and she is really good. She’s strict and to the point, without being brash or nasty. Wish I had some insight on cost! Sorry I can’t help you there.
As for planning, it has been quite a rollercoaster ride. Now I’m just ready to get on with it and marry my FI! 🙂

@maplemag: I hear ya on the being on the phone and listening to the sales pitch! I have been reading parts of Bridal Bargains by Denise and Alan Fields…some really great questions and insight on vendors. I find myself going “Great question, I never would have thought to ask that on my own.”

My DOC in CT costs $500. It wasn’t required at my venue, but they don’t have anyone to help ME on the day of (they have their own staff to oversee the building and whatnot). EVERYTHING is kinda a la carte at my venue.
As for the stress part, I’ve been engaged for a year next month, so I’ve had ups and downs with stress. I’m currently not stressed at all, but super eager to just get things moving! I hate reading timeline planner things that tell you when to have what done by. I’ve already done everything I’ve seen on the 12 months out lists, and I’m chopping away at the things that come after that.
