I looked through a ton of these and decided not to get any. Maybe your FMIL could get you a book on plannign weddings instead and supplies for creating your our own(3 ring binder & clear sheet protectors for the binder). The Knot, Martha and several other websites have great downloadable and printable planning info that you would find in the book. While pretty they are not as useful as spreadsheets you can download off the internet and fill in.
The one Mindy Weiss just wrote is crazy informative, like a wedding encyclopedia. Check that one out, I just got it for abou $20 bucks at a bridal show at Beverly Hills Hotel.
I bought one thinking I'd use it but don't. I use a day planner for all my appointments instead. It's easier for me to work with.

My FMIL has offered to buy me a wedding planner book. Anyone have recommendations of which one is good or bad? Also, what in yours did you find particularly helpful that I should make sure it has?
Thanks in advance,
Heidi
