I posted "Where Do I Begin?" and received lovely advice. Now for anotherQ.
I’m in Chicago and am doing a city wedding. My life is crazy; I don’t really love all the details of event planning- actually they tend to overwhelm me. I just want everyone to have a great, great time.
I could afford one (I think). Question is, I feel like a failure using one. Are they worth it? What do they add? Have any of you used? Should I go with the usual suspects I see on the Knot.com and Brides.com?
Thanks for the advice.

don’t feel like a failure using one! almost every bride i know is using one to some capacity. after not using one for my own wedding, i really wish i had. i wish i didn’t have to think about ANYTHING and just enjoy my day. you’re only a bride once (usually) so for me, i was clueless about what you needed for weddings, but even more importantly, what ingredients make a GREAT wedding. i think if you can afford a professional, go for it!
definitely use the suggestions on theknot.com on the local boards. you can’t go wrong if they’ve got numerous good reviews from knotties, i think.
