Im using Jess from Moira Events out of San Diego, but her team does most of the west coast. Shes actually a designer, not just a DOC (which is what i LOVE!). she has worked with us to develope our overal theme and determine our budget and find a venue to match both. Shes been an amazing life saver.
Take a look at projectwedding.com for suggestions in the vendor reviews section. Also, many vendors will travel but you may have to pay a little extra.
Hi Palm Srings Neighbor....
I live in Cathedral City and will be having my wedding at a bed and breakfast in Palm Springs at Casa Cody. Its a garden with a historic casita which we are renting as well. There is plenty of space for the ceremony and reception. Its located right behind the starbucks on Palm Canyon. Its really cute and intimate. The website and brochure does not do it justice, I would suggest you go an look. There are also entire homes you can rent nearer to the mountain in Palm Springs with beautiful yards if that is something that may interest you.
There is also a nice country club, Desert Falls Country Club in Palm Desert with very nice grounds. I would have chosen this but it did not have the intimate feel we were looking for.
I just met a Day of Event Wedding Coordinator. She does it all though not just day off. I just met her today and she seemed very nice and was easy to speak to. Most importantly she listened to me.
Her name is Gina and her work number is 760-775-9553. Her website is A Walk Down the Aisle and she has a very detailed description of services she can provide. I have checked a couple out so far and she had super reasonable prices.

@Loulee: I saw your post replying to another post about Palm Springs weddings. I am getting married in October 2012 and we are renting a mansion in Rancho Mirage. Our wedding will be in the Joshua Tree park but the reception, dance, party ect will be at the mansion in Rancho Mirage. I am wondering if you mind if I contact you with any questions I may have? I am from Victoria bc, Canada and I am finding it difficult to plan it all from so far away. We are coming this October to look at mansions and talk to caterers though so maybe once we book it we will feel less stressed :)

We have ONE thing checked off of the list.... We want our wedding to be in Palm Springs. We are having such a hard time finding a venue, I thought that it would be helpful to hire a planner.
