Thanks so much for the advice. It sounds like your difficulties with your planner went beyond the realm of just being dissatisfied for a paltry reason. Good luck with whatever went wrong. I hope you have/had a beautiful wedding in spite of it all.
Geesh!!! I am happy with my planner so far. I hope I don't run into any problems. I can't imagine what could've have happened for you to need an attorney. Good Luck!
iwantsweets, who are you using? Are you in ATL? I'm still on the lookout for a good, affordable planner. :)
Iwantsweets -- I second the request! I've been searching for recommendations for a good one.
And thanks for the heads up, Padiserene. Knowing whom NOT to use helps make the search easier

Hello Ladies,
If you're recently engaged and considering hiring a Day of Wedding Coordinator or full wedding planner, I'd like to give a review of my vendor and a few words of advice.
I hired Lara and Cameo Event for my wedding in June. I recently cancelled my contract with them. Under the advice of my attorney, I cannot give full disclosure.
PLEASE, make sure, no matter what vendor you contract with, that you read everything, even the fine print, and get EVERY SINGLE THING in writing, no matter how small or trivial you may think it is. Do this before you sign anything or give any sort of deposit/retainer. As brides, we don't want to add stress to our day due to the very people, our vendors, that we hire and entrust to be professional and do the right thing.
Yes, this is one of the happiest days of our lives and yes, we should enjoy the planning process. However, approach each vendor with caution and know what the consequences would be should you choose to cancel their services.
If you wish to contact me, please feel free to do so.
Happy Planning ladies and Good Luck!!!!
