I did, and THANK GOD! She’s been wonderful and so helpful. I’m actually emai communicating with her right now.

She takes the headache out of everything and my fiance likes to give input now because it’s not so overwhelming.

We didn’t — I’m used to planning big events (theatrical plays!) and have a very creative and involved fiancé. We are managing very well without but can certainly see how planners would be helpful otherwise.

I am a planner, but I hired one. She has been helpful to bounce ideas off of, and I know she will be indispensible on the day of. Cost really depends on your location, experience, and what exactly you expect the planner to do for you. Your best option is to email and/or call several in your area and give them a list of what you would like from them, so they can give you a cost based on your needs. From what you have stated, it looks like you might just need a day of or a more basic package of a full service plan.

The average cost should be no more than 2-15% of your overall budget; depending on what you need.

i half way cheated for my dress. i went to davids bridal and tried on all the ones i liked in the different cuts and shapes and poof, then looked on craigslist for one i liked. i paid 50 bucks for a 300 dollar dress that fits like a glove and needs just a cleaning! strut is really cool too. im on the lower of their sizes but the prices are good and i heard the service rocks. also i know its prom season and mills has a MILLION dresses in it. pennys, group usa and about a dozen new stores just for prom. i’d take a look there. i may be going back to get my flower girls dresses.

dont forget the tilted kilt and pranksters. they are always good.
