Wow – I spent maybe 10 hours a week (if that) doing stuff for my wedding when I was planning.

I’m a planner by nature, but I definitely didn’t spend 40 hours a week planning my wedding. Of course, I was planning my wedding while working and getting my master’s, so I’m not sure I could have spent that much time planning even if I wanted to! There were definitely some weeks that were more time-intensive than others, though.

I think about my wedding an awful lot. More than I wish I did, actually. I’m an over-thinker by nature. But, I do my best to minimize how much I actually talk about it for my own sanity, and the sanity of those around me.

10-15 hours a week. I mostly spend it look at pictures for inspiration or on weddingbee.

about 20-30 hours a week for me, BUT I’m a huge DIYer and I’m trying to get as much done as possible before summer

It definitely took a few hours a week at first to contact all the vendors. Now that all the major stuff is booked, i spend MAYBE 30mins to an hour a week planning. I do spend more time passively planning, just browsing pictures or posts on here. Once it gets closer and I have a few projects to do I’m sure it will take more in the week, but nowhere near 30-40 hours for me.

I probably averaged 10-15 hours a week, obviously more as the day drew closer. I was working full-time, and in grad school though, so my time was limited.

If you feel like you’re burning yourself out, back down a little. As the day draws closer all the little “must haves” won’t seem so important anymore. We made concessions in the weeks leading up to our wedding, and now two years later, I can’t remember any of them. Obviously they weren’t that important!
