I think everyone hits a wall in the planning process, not matter how long the engagement. This is a typical time to feel like you just want it all over with!
Take some time. Stay away from wedding talk with you fiance for a bit, stop thinking about all things wedding and have fun with a hobby or with friends. It will feel refreshing and you'll be glad you took a break! (everyone needs a little one).
Hope you get over this hump soon!
yes! take a break so you can get excited about your planning and your wedding again! I know the feeling. and yes, im sure it did have to do with the 65 self addressed envelopes haha. just hang in there! :)
I am so feeling you today! I have like 5 months to go, and there's part of me that wants to walk away from all the plans, book us two flights to Hawaii and get married (just the two of us!) on the beach!
Wow - we are almost date twins, and I am feeling exactly the same way about the wedding planning. There still seems to be such a lot to do, and yet, nothing I can do usefully immediately. I foolishly decided to embellish my hand-made invites with 60 hand-made kirigami flowers - BIG mistake...unless you don't mind spending hours folding tiny flowers for invites. They look cute, but it just all feels a little too stressful right now...
Take a break! I took a 2 week break from planning but not from the bee! I took the time off because we were thinking of buying a 2nd house and i was STRESSED to the MAX! We had so much to think about finishing renos on current house start renos on #2 so it could be rented and a wedding! We ended up not getting the house hopfully it will still be for sale after the wedding but i am much happier now that the wedding is all i need to think about and its back to being FUN :)

So, here I am at the three month mark and all I feel is, "can we just get married already?"
I am sick of all things wedding...even this website (GASP!) Does anyone else feel this way? I've done so much work to nail down our vendors, order the invites, and set up the important things. Everything that's left is DETAILS. And there are lots of them.
Maybe I just need to take a week or two off and just focus on non-wedding stuff for awhile, then come back to the details of the ceremony, the programs, the favors, the music playlist...etc.
Is anyone else hitting a wall in the planning process? It might have something to do with the fact that I hand-addressed like 65 envelopes tonight :)
