Has it been more stressful than you imagined, or a breeze?  Pleasant, or arduous?

How has your planning experience measured up to what you'd heard or thought it would be like before you started?

It is waaay more stressful than I thought! I started planning a few months ago and I have a year to go before my wedding.

Both my FI and I have a standing rule (I heard about it on here!) called Wedding Wednesdays. We won't discuss wedding plans any other day of the week in order to keep our sanity.

I was never the type who dreamed about her wedding day & now I'm a wedding obsessed maniac! lol I'm hoping it gets better as more details are finalized. Until then.. I have weddingbee to give me my fix :)

Hmm. It is much more consuming than I thought - thanks to sites like this! :) But I have really enjoyed it. I really haven't been too stressed. At least not yet. But I have suprised myself at how much I second guess everything!

Not at all - I'm not nearly as busy as I expected, but then I'm generally pretty organized and know what I like! Very little stress for me (we both have very easy-going parents, which I think helps a lot!)

It's not been quite as stressful as I thought it would be. So far our biggest dilema has been trying to find an officiant. We are getting married at our reception venue, not in a church, and in a rural area such as the one we live in, it makes some things a tad harder to find.

It's definitely NOT what I thought it would be...most especially, I never expected to feel so alone doing it. Not that my FI doesn't help out, he does. But when you get no help or even excitement from your family about your wedding, it certainly puts a damper on the whole process...

As hard as I try to not let it get me down, and most times I'm good at not letting it get to me, sometimes it's just not that easy. That's when I pull out my trick for letting it all just roll right off me. I look at the pic of my dress, close my eyes and imagine what I'll look like on my wedding day and seeing the look on my FI's face, and all is right once more.

Add to it the fact that I'm unemployed and looking for work, sometimes it gets rough. But, even with that I'm still enjoying the process - especially since the point is I'm maryring the man of my dreams!

I have to say, I thought I would enjoy it more!  It stresses me out (w/ the exception of Wb, of course).  I like actually thinking and looking at stuff, but it stresses me out that I don't have much time for it/am a slacker.

I think it is also that I started a new job like a week before I got engaged, and we started looking at houses a few months ago.  Now that the house thing is *cross my fingers* nearly over, I hope to start focusing on some wedding stuff.

I have to say , I didn't think it would be that bad ..My fiancee is a very hands on guy , he wants to be involved in every decision i make , he even had an opinion when it came to the bridesmaids dresses ..its interesting , since i have heard lots of woman talkin about there guys not getting into it ..lol   I thought it would be fairly simple , since the venue we chose comes with alot ...but the things it doesn'c come are the things were having issues with ..

For me it's a lot less stressful and time consuming than I was expecting. Yea, I'm stressed over money issues, but really, it's been a cakewalk, lol. I have 99% of it all planned out, I have all my vendors....to be honest, i'm more stressed about my son's 3rd birthday party next month.
