Okay fellow bees please tell me that I am not the only one...I started planning my wedding just a wee bit before the actual proposal. My fiance told me to pick the venue because he wanted a summer wedding but he wanted the actual engagement to be a surprise.(which it soooo was) So I did and the venue is PeRfEcT..Seems like so far so good right? Okay well here is where my left turn down many winding roads begins and now I am an overwhelmed bee lost in the woods without my GPS! When I started the wedding process I went into this obsessed sit on the couch watching wedding shows and scouring the internet for ideas mode. My fiance thought it was cute for about the first week because I am not much of a  girlie girl. But now I need to check myself into Wedding Planning Rehab..My PROBLEM..I find a theme and go crazy...only for a month to go by and I'm like ehhhh and lose interest and change colors or themes. AAAAHHHHH! I think part is that I secretly enjoy the planning part and once I see a theme coming together I don't have anything else to do..or maybe I am just afraid that I'm settling...or I get on here and see other Super Cute ideas..or maybe as my fiance says I am just an indecisive bride...lol..Sometimes I feel like I am just stealing "others" ideas instead of making it mine..problem is is that I never had a plan or vision about getting married...Whats a lost bride to do?

**Thank you Madilove918 for all of your help**

I've jumped around from idea to idea (bunting! Tissue paper flags! Picnic!) but I think we've finally settled on something because that something is so, so US. Really think about what you and your FH love.

For example: there were these adorable tandem bike invites on Etsy that we both loved.

But, we've never ridden a tandem, and neither of us owned a bike as adults until about a month ago, when I bought one for me. Yes, the invites were adorable, but I realised in the end that they had nothing to do with us.

Oh my gosh. I'm having the same problem.  I'm 10 months out and even my seating chart is done! The absolute only thing I have left is to pay, and where is the fun in that?

I think you would be a perfect candidate for DIY stuff.  Pick a theme, stick with it, and start making stuff yourself.  It will keep you away from searching for other things.  Once you find an idea you like, and make something yourself, you'll view the time invested in what you already made as "too far to go back" (the first thing I made was my "in lieu of favor" cards, and I've stuck with my color scheme since then because I had already invested time in it).  I still love my color scheme (just a blue palette.  all shades of blue in case I find a good sale), and I'm happy with the projects I have done so far.

There will always be other ideas that are cute, but will they work for you?  Will they work for your venue?  Will they work for what you and your FI are?

I bought a Martha Stewart Weddings magazine for initial ideas for DIY stuff, and I've been on a roll since then.  I have 23 months to go, and tons of stuff to keep my time occupied.
