Hi dear! Our current stress is gathering the few remaining addresses for our STDs and Embarassed the wedding website….still. I started yesterday though! Should be launched for prime time by the end of this week. Then I’ll drop those STDs in the mail, yay 🙂

BMs/FGs going dress shopping this Saturday and I have our cake tasting scheduled for Sunday.

And isn’t paying for this shindig the ongoing stressor?

Budget, wedding website, collecting addresses for STDs…

we also just had to change our venue, which I felt we kind of rushed into, so I am definitely stressing about that….

@mandi.pitt: Just saw your venue post from a few days ago…were you able to find something within your budget? Those pesky guest lists, I wish they could shrink instead of expand. Ugh.

Right now nothing.  Now two days ago I was stressing about finding a DJ and about fiance’s mother (guest list & flower girl dress issues).  But we found a DJ.  And as far as FMIL goes I’ve given in and I am OK with that.  Ask in a few more weeks and I’ll give you a completely different answer I’m sure.

The fact that I can’t seem to decide on invitations is driving me nuts! I’ve made 4 different invitation suites–I like them all, I just can’t seem to stop making new ones and just decide.

Also, had a tiny tif with my MOH, who is (of course) planning my bachelorette party.  She mention something about wearing wigs that night, which to me sounds fun in theory, but in practice just seems like a pain in the butt. When I mentioned that the wig thing seemed like more trouble than it’s worth, she got upset and said, “Fine, I’m done planning!” When I reminded her this day/night was supposed to be for me, she shouted “Well, I’m the one planning it!”.  I’m a little frustrated by her attitude–I pray it was temporary insanity on her part.

So yeah…that is stressing me out big time!

FH gave me his guest list and it included some gems… like for the number of people in one party he put “2, maybe 7” … wut???? lol.

i put the final tweaks on the wedding website last night so i hope it looks good! picking up the STDs from the printer today and will start envelope stuffing! i’m also folding paper cranes in my spare time, but that’s a cause for relaxation more than stress. i dealt with the MOH situation, so now i can start moving forward!

The hair and makeup. Nobody here in Japan has much experience with black hair so I am walking around with a big afro. I want nice soft curls and a blow out style but its nearly impossible.

Ugh – we’re still trying to sort out the guest list!  Our families are just too big – it’s not leaving any room for friends!

Big Stresses for me lately are:

-Setting up bridesmaid dress ordering (girls from all over the country, dress in FL gives a discount because that’s where I bought my dress, but then I’ll have to have someone down there pick them up and ship the dresses, basically negating the discount! AAAAAAHHH!!!!)

-Photographer – First I thought I didn’t want one, just have family friends do it… then I look at the internet & have a talk with FMIL. Now I’m going crazy back and forth over it.

-Budget – As always.

I’m stressing over the fact that I haven’t ordered my dress yet. Our wedding is 6 months from tomorrow and I feel so behind. I was told it only takes between 8-12 weeks to come in so I do have time but I still feel like I’m slacking.

CaitMarae, I am getting married the same weekend as you and I just ordered my dress this week.  No worries!  (Actually, I bought a dress a month ago, changed my mind about it, and bought another one last week.  The old one is going to consignment.  Talk about stressors!!!  Try explaining to your mom who bought you your first dress and helped you pick it out that you don’t want it anymore and you’re buying your next one by yourself!)

-budget is ongoing stressor of course

-we want to do photos in Philly (where we live) for our Jersey wedding (where we’re from) and I’m totally stressing about setting up transportation for everyone for pictures so they don’t have to find parking in Philly the day of the wedding.  BLARGH!
