I’ve been using The Knot and their iphone app with checklist.

Guest list?

Save the Dates?

Invitations?

Hotel room blocks for guests?

wedding website?

honeymoon?

bridal party gifts?

pick music?

dance lessons?

favors?

ceremony readings?

hair/makeup? trials?

I second The Knot’s checklist. It helped me figure out what should be done, and when it should be done. I had a short engagement, so everything was go-go-go from the start… but it recalculates that for you.

You can even adjust some of the dates to fit your needs. I’ve been doing that lately, as some things were scheduled after their listsaid they should be done. Whatever works for you!

Have you started looking at BM dresses?

JuneBride.2015: Where are you ordering your BM dresses from? I got ours from Alfred Angelo and they told me to order by the end of next month for my may wedding!  But on my must do this month list is, Find a JP, Pick the band, Pick Wedding invite, Mail save-the-dates, Do our registry (only because I dont want to try and do this while people are in crazy chirstmas shopping mode) and Im going to start making some of our DIY Items mainly “where to go” signs to start.

Why are you waiting until Jan? My wedding is in May and I needed to get them ordered SOON to make sure they’d get here in time.  Mine are Jordan and they estimated 15 weeks (Mid-Jan) which gives the girls 3 months for alterations.

wanabeabee:  My girls are wearing AA dresses, and didn’t order them until either sometime in April or May of this year – and they arrived in August. I think most places tell you to order WAY in advance when you need them, just in case.

Is your wedding in late April / early May?  I’m confused by your screen name.  I’m late April and likewise 7 months out.

I haven’t ordered BM dresses yet either.  I am being told 4 months in advance.  I figure that gives me until Thanksgiving.  I don’t think you need the dresses to arrive more than 1 month in advance.  Tailoring a BM dress takes 1 week max.  I hate being rushed, I don’t respond well to it.  Plenty of time.
