I just got married a month ago. I hated planning our wedding. I was just ready to be married already. My SIL told me, “You’ll miss it after the wedding.” “Lies!!” I told her.
I miss it.
My solution has been to get waaaay too involved in thinking about a vow renewal. I don’t even want to renew vows until like, the 5th anniversary (at the earliest), but I can’t stop looking at locations and stuff! Our wedding was the classic church wedding with everyone we know. I want our vow renewal to be just us, on a beach, him in khakis and me in a flowy sheath…Honestly, I’m not even a vow renewal person. I didn’t understand them until after our wedding, and I don’t think it’s necessary. I’m just in withdrawal from the wedding and want to plan something else romantic. Haha. This is why I need a job.
Anyone else go through this?

my sister did 😉 fortunately for her I’m getting married now! The first month of my planing was a bit tough for us because we’re very different, but now she’s doing great at channeling her energy my way.
After my wedding I hope that I’ll be too busy finding a house to miss the good parts of planning.

@tksjewelry: Haha, I hadn’t seen that. That’s perfect. I would love to have a beach party, but there’s no beach nearby. Maybe that’s why I’ve been all over Darling Husband about having a Low Country Boil/Pool party this summer.
I also keep thinking how much I would love to wear one of those tea-length or slinky dress styles I saw so much during wedding planning. A formal Christmas party would be awesome, and maybe I could wear something like this! Sorry, a little too excited. Weddingbee is a good outlet, but Christmas is a long way away.
