Hello, I was wondering what the average cost for wedding programs are. I was planning on making them but I have no clue about this bordering, different fonts, folds etc and thought Id go ahead and order some… For 100 programs they charge $34.00 Is that a good price (I thought it was considerring quality of paper and the metallic border). Any thoughts or recommendations?

I made mine using what should have been the invitations from an old wedding kit and they turned out great. It probaly cost about 3.00 to make all of them 🙂

I made ours (sorry at work, no pictures), but they weren’t very expensive or hard to do. We had program fans with games on the back which probably came to about a dollar each. I don’t know how to figure out ink and I used coupons for everything.

@Baileyh: Since I am not computer saavy, does every printer have settings to make sure it prints it out in the correct format? Id hate for my lettering to be going over the border or not lined up.

That sounds like a really good price! If I hadn’t bought the paper for mine already I would totally just order them!!

we just bought a pack of nice paper for ~$4 and used maybe a quarter of them. We printed small programs. One 8.5×11 sheet of card made 2 programs. I liked them small and cute and we didn’t have that much to say anyway.
We printed them at home – with pre owned ink – so that was a few bucks I guess.

@MissREdhot The package was from BRIDES at michaels so it comes with a site that has everything formatted. We just changed the wording from invitation to program information and then fiddled around a bit to make sure it didnt go over the leaves etc. It was really simple. I have a hard time figuring out how to turn a computer on and i did it

I think that’s a good great price! I bought my DIY program kit on clearance for $10 (I believe it was $24,99 reg for 100 programmes) but I still have to do all the work myself of formatting etc.

Ours were not expensive but they were terribly time consuming.
We had a 5 page fan program with a brad holding them together. We used green and white thick paper in a silly shape. We had to hand cut 5 pages for 80 programs, hand punch holes with an eyelet setter & put in the brads.
It was cheap and lovely, but took forever!
