Sounds like a wonderful day. That's hilarious about your dad not noticing he was missing the bride when you fell. Glad you figured out the rain situation your pictures turned out really well.
You know, I didn't even think to do a recap of mine.. ha.. don't think anyone missed it.
We did a receiving line at the church, specificially so that we could avoid 80% of the table to table stuff. There were still some people that I wanted to talk to, and got to fit in a few of them... but there were others that I never even saw.. I feel bad about that.
We were on the dance floor as much as possible, because I was paranoid that no one was going to dance & w/o a ton of people, it was a challenge. The floor wasn't EMPTY, but it wasn't "full" either.
We had about 12 just not show up.. that was after 4 called and said they weren't comming.. so we ended up with about 112 people - from 208 invited!!! The room did look a little empty, it was a tad bit disappointing!
So glad that everything went well for you guys! Love the pics!
Great recap! We had several people not show up too. We actually put all the "likely to not shows" at one table, and so we had one empty table. Oh, well! I'm glad it worked out for you. Your pictures are gorgeous!
Hotchild, I think right before the wedding you were feeling a little down because you received a lot of no RSVP's? Did that affect your wedding day at all? Did you even notice?
I saw the pictures in your other thread - they are beautiful and so are you! You look so happy in them. Sounds like you had a wonderful wedding. I'm very happy for you and your husband!
@lilybay: It was definitely smaller than I would have liked, but luckily all of our friends were having a crazy party, so the dance floor was packed all night :o)

I posted my pictures in a different thread, but people are looking for a recap so I will write one. I'll do a separate vendor recap as well.
My wedding day definitely did not go off without a hitch. It rained literally all day long. The bottom of my dress got soaked and dirty, we had to cancel our outdoor ceremony, and wait for breaks in the rain to rush outside and take pictures.
All my friends arrived in one piece, and the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner was great. After all the drama about the rehearsal dinner, it ended up being a good/manageable size and everyone had fun. I'll post about the venue later because they were fantastic.
Woke up in the AM Saturday to the internet saying there's a 40 percent chance of rain. I make the executive decision to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony, which proves to be a fail. Makeup and hair went shockingly smoothly considering we had 13 people and two locations. We were done by 1pm.
Limo arrives and it is POURING. One by one we all make it out to the limo. We arrive at the venue to 120 soaked chairs that will never be dried off in time. Thanks to the awesome staff at my ceremony venue, they set up their own chairs inside and my florist was able to accomodate the decorations that we had for the outdoor ceremony.
On the way in, I caught my cathedral length veil on a table and almost fell on my ass ;o) My dad didn't notice and kept walking. But it started the ceremony off on a lighthearted note. The ceremony was great and the flower girl probably behaved better than my bridesmaids ;o) We were able to get some good pictures after, and because of the rain, we went to our venue early to get some different pictures.
The entrances into the reception (which I posted about previously) were AMAZING. My friend even cartwheeled in if you could believe it. It was the talk of the reception. The reception itself was wild. Our DJ approached us at one point and said it was one of the craziest/most outgoing groups he's ever had at a wedding.
6 people didn't show up, and the worst part was they were all at one table, leaving two people to sit by themselves. Luckily someone from another table knew them and moved over to sit with them. Food, cake, etc. was awesome although I didn't get to eat much. The only bummer about the reception is having to walk around and talk to everyone while all your friends are having fun. Everyone definitely has more fun than you at your wedding! ;o)
The trolley to the hotel worked out great and we had a nice afterparty. My friends were geared up that afternoon to stay out until 4am, but most everyone was in bed by 1:30am ;o) Our suite was incredible and we definitely took some time to enjoy it.
The next day, we had a little brunch at my parents and went back to the city to catch a plane on Monday for our honeymoon. I'll definitely do a honeymoon recap later...we had an AWESOME time!
