- Wedding: July 2013
lol They actually came in a little while back, but I’m just now getting around to posting them on here, sorry guys! I’m pretty proud if it though since it was about a 85% DIY wedding. So, this is going to be a long one, so buckle your seat belts and prepare for the ride.

We were serioiuosly worried about rain. You can’t tell it in most of the pictures because the photographer lightened it up, but a hour before the wedding was was supposed to start the skies were almost black
right before the first look
So about the doors…. we set up to old wood worrs to mark the “start” of the ailse since we didn’t want to have the wedding party have to walk the entire lenghtn of the field. The bridal party when around the outside of the doors, and my cousin and sister’s biyfriend moved the door apart to let my dad and myself walk throught them.
And then, for the first time all day, the sun decided to shine. It was truely a magical moment, and DH family is swearing that it was his mother who died about 6 years ago.
Then, not 5 minutes after we got everyone inside it started pouring the rain. Like no joke, the maintance guy taking down the chandelier got a little wet and that was it.
Pst that the evening proceeded like most weddings… Although I did hide a little suprise for my groom in you garter, a shot of Jack Daniels
And one of my BMs and her boyfriend caught the bouquet/garter
We also gave out little packets of seeds (along with care cards) and the big basket is full of bird seed guests through when we left (which luckly at the point the rain had stopped).
However, our fairly simple/undramatic exit didn’t quite go as planned… We walked out expecting a gentle shower of bird seed, but two of the groomsmen decided that they would rather have a birdseed battle nad the rest of the wedding party and a number of guests quickly joined in.
Also, you cannot look at these pictures and tell me it wasn’t pre-planned.
In the end, we didn’t quite get the “normal” pictures we wanted, but he ones we did get do make me smilewhich I guess is what really counts.
