- Wedding: June 2014
Hey everyone, I haven’t been here in a few months due to my busy schedule leading up to the wedding. I decided to come back to give this recap even though I’m sure not many will even remember me 🙂 Enjoy!
Ok so our wedding was June 13, 1014 (yes Friday) And it was perfect. I can say right now that one thing did not go wrong and if it did then no one told me and I’m totally okay with that. We had a smallish wedding with a total of 75. Our ceremony was at the church we met at 8 years ago and our reception was in a resturant at the beach. Eveything was really calm and fun the day of. I spent most of the day wishing I handn’t stayed up really late thinking about the wedding (hence the Starbucks drink in a later photo). So let me just give you the highlights of our evening based on these favorites of mine.so here we have my bridal party, (left to right) my sister in law, my sister (maid of honor), me (duh) and my best friend (matron of honor). They picked dresses from Weddington Way in the color Charcoal by Alfred Angelo. Our silk flowers were made from Teresa at MTFlorals, Super gorgeous and very affordable. The girls are wearing earrings I have them as apart of their BM gift. Here at my Husband’s (wow) groomsmen, so I’ll quickly say he’s the cutie in the gray tux then (from behind him back to the front) we have my brothers, his brother in law, another one of my brothers and then his best friend and best man. They all look adorable and were really helpful the day of!here’s a photo of my husband seeing me walk down the aisle. We were both crying but no one could tell except for us. I love it <3he’s one of my favorites because this is the elevator we rode in after we first met at Church and he was walking me to the parking lot. And again this is another favorite because we met in that hallway as silly teenagers and now were silly adults :pOkay so yes #starbucksselfie! we really needed the caffiene, but we went to the stabucks that he “re-proposed” in (he gave me an engagement Ring a year after we were engaged and after I nagged him incessantly even though I didn’t know he had it in his pocket for a while) PS: the coffee really helped! I lost my shoes on purpose and I didn’t think far enough ahead that rain = puddles and beach = sand. Oh well! Cheesy photo that I absolutely love! Yay pintrest for great photo ideas! This is our cake, that we won Ina contest earlier this year! the cake was phenominal and it was completely devoured! Here’s a good view of our reception venue. We had food stations and lots of apps. The table centerpieces were spray painted wine bottles, left over candles from the ceremony, and silk flower petals. Really simple and gave us a bigger budget for food and the bar. This was the dance floor obviously but there are a total of 6 tables on the back wall of windows and 4 high top tables. We had open seating so we made it really easy to mingle and eat. Lastly, here are our wedding rings and my bouquet. i love his ring, it’s so unique and matches his style! My rings (I have 2 bands and an e-ring) are mis matching, but I love them and am glad I chose both.
Well that was basically it! I’m a Mrs., we’re living in our new home, and we did go on a honeymoon (cabin in the montains and we visited the Biltmore in NC). I loved our wedding and wish we could do it again. We stayed under budget and had every thing we wanted and more. The weddingbee helped me alot when I was still planning so thank you to everyone who gave their advice when I needed it. I’m sure I’ll be back more now to offer my new found wisdom (lol jk) to those who need it.
see you around!!
