It’s been a little over a month since I officially became a Mrs! I wanted to share some pictures because the last 4 months before getting married, all i did was worry about my dress. I must have read a hundred posts about dress regret and couldn’t stop second guessing myself. But in the end..it turned out fine. Could my dress have fit better? sure but for those bees who know what i went through with all the weight flucuation…i think it turned out pretty damn good
Dress is Jim Hjelm 8250 with modified sash.
All my jelewry is REAL…i was lucky enough to be loaned over $250k in real diamonds and saphires
Bridesmaid dresses are Dessy Collection
Oh and that adorable baby in the pictures is our daughter Mayland Elle. Yes MAYLAND not Maryland!!!
PS i started with some engagement shots because I never shared them!

YAY! Im so glad ive seen your recap! Not to sound like a stalker but your dress is one of my favourite *ever* and even in the times you werent happy with it i still felt like you looked absolutely stunning! I didnt realise it was so low backed though (this makes me love it even more!) Question: do you have any photos of the back of your dress? Especially with the veil? Its the same depth as my dress and ive been so torn on whether to have my hair in a low bun or down, and what length veil to go for!
Anyway, Your wedding photos are so beautiful and a big congratulations!

@Rachael1287: i do! i will try to upload them later today for you. my veil was double layered so you can’t really see the back of my dress…and the lighting was so bad in the church all the ones of me walking down the isle are in black and white. however, the veil had scattered rhinestones all over the back and people said it sparkled when i walked.
my wedding planner said it was one of her all time favorite veil/head piece combos.

here are a few of the back! i didn’t wear the veil long. i battled with the hair down or up debate as well. what sealed the deal for me was looking at brides pictures who wore their hair down about 2 hours into the reception…sweat and frizz!!!! so i went with up and am very glad i did. we wear our hair down all the time so this felt more special and i wasn’t messing with it all night

Why did you have dress regret? Everything was perfect! absolutely beautiful!
@MrsPocahontas: the dress regret is a WHOLE other story lol. you’d have to read my other posts. i had a baby not long before i tried on dresses and, to make a long story short, the bridal salon insisted i order a dress way too big even though i didn’t want to. and jim hjelm dresses are LITERALLY made to fit as is. they really shouldn’t be altered. so it was a very long painful alteration process to shrink it 4 sizes!!!! and it just never quite fit the way it should have. you can see all the wrinkling etc. but in the end it was much better than i thought it would be
plus its hard not to have dress regret when you are OBSESSED with say yes to the dress adn this forum haha. all i did all day for like 8 months was look at other people’s dresses and wish i had picked them ALL

Stunning, totally stunning. I totally remember your whole dress drama (and I remember being so frustrated on your behalf, at the consultant basically forcing you to order too big a size). So glad everything turned out so beautifully, the colours are dreamy and your baby is just the cutest thing.
And I’m with you on SYTTD being totally non-conducive to curing dress regret…I should just not be watching any more episodes of that show! I’m also subscribed to so many Instagram feeds of wedding blogs, bridal salons etc…and every time it’s bridal fashion week I’m frantically scanning photos to make sure there aren’t dresses that I love more than mine lol.
