Help Bees! This is getting way out of hand. I am looking over my wedding budget and its like, WHERE DID IT ALL GO? The biggest expense is food….so my thought is, what is the cheapest meal available that doesn’t come off as cheap?
I will talk with my caterer and of course, you get what you pay for, but I am looking for ideas of costs versus what you get for it. I live in a metropolitan area, so things are super expensive, but it definalty costs.

I think bbq and italian have been the biggest when it comes to being good eats while not costing a lot. I think when my boss had her wedding, the Italian caterer she hired was about $15pp. When we did bbq for my friend rehersal dinner it was $10pp. But it does depend on where you live and what type of feel you are going for.

@ApocalypseCow: We saved on our catering bill by getting married earlier in the day and serving a lunch meal instead of dinner. Pasta, bbq, gourmet pizzas, and chicken can all be inexpensive.

Thanks bees! We can’t get married later in the day due to church schedules but Italian would be nice. My FI is Italian and I am from the South so maybe a mix would be fun! What do you think?
