If you have a wedding website, you could include information there.

My FI and I are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and they print off little papers for you with the information on it that you can just slip in with the invitations.

It’s not proper etiquette to include registry info on the invites, although I have seen it quite a lot. Just tell your family and let them spread the word.

We also put it on the shower invites and our wedding website.

I’ve heard that it isn’t proper etiquette to include registry info on the actual invite, but we’re just adding a piece of paper in our pocket envelope along with the rsvp, directions, reception info, etc.

Putting it on the shower invites is a good idea too!

@Quicksand:  Honestly, whatever way communicates it clearly.

Etiquette aside, we have family members who do not “actively” talk with other family members, but want to attend the wedding. If we don’t include the info in the invite envelope, they would never know. We have a wedding website, but some of them literally do not use the internet/own a computer (they are older). We thought about not registering, but got a lot of flack for it. I guess we could call them up and tell them…but that would look very gift grabby and quite awkward.
