Awww...I can totally relate to that. My bustle wasn't very good in that it didn't keep my dress up in the back very well. I was also dancing a lot of the night on a deck of a boat where drinks had been spilled, and the bottom of my dress was really dirty by the end of the night. I know what you mean about the photos but it just proves we had a good time! :)
Aw man, that sucks! But luckily that's something that is easy to edit. I had a mess at the bottom of my dress too. In fact, somehow my dress was dirty right after the ceremony. There was even what looked like a hand print on my hip. I was fortunate enough to have my photographer's assistant get a lot of those stains out. But people kept stepping on me the entire night, my dress is a WRECK. At least you got some good photo's before the reception, right?
Thanks for posting. I'm actually wearing flats with my gown and changing into a short sexier dress with fabulous shoes for the reception. I realized if my feet were to stand a chance, i couldn't wear them all day so i did the reverse of most girls.
you still look great though!
YOU still look amazing though!!! and i am sure the photographer can shop that part of the dress out

I got married 2 weeks ago and I'm looking through all the photos. One thing I regret and thought it'd be helpful to put out there - the hem of my dress.
I had a jcrew simple white dress - almost no train. Without alterations it was the perfect length with my heels to wear. yay! It looked perfect in all the photos where I'm actually wearing my heels up to the beginning of the reception- yet after it rained and my feet got tired of fancy high heels I switched to flip flops. Comfy - but big mistake - the dress dragged the rest of the night! It got muddier (since the rain stopped and left the ground dirty) and I kept stepping on it. It also made me look short since it was too long. By the end of the night in the last photos my dress was a soggy dirty mess. Now at the time I was fine - happy and not a high stress person. I just went with it. But the photos will have to be seriously photoshopping!
this was me the whole night:
