I am 7 months away from the wedding and I am having a TON of wedding-related nightmares!! Every nightmare is different, the latest one being that I couldn’t zip my dress and the seamstress had to drive 5 hours to get to the venue and so we had to postpone the ceremony by 5 hours! Another was that Fiance didn’t show up — I was left at the altar!! I woke up in the morning mad at him because of that one… even though it was obviously just a dream!
I’m just curious, is anyone else having wedding-related nightmares?

@starz88962: I haven’t had any so far, but my sister had a strange one the week before her wedding:
She dreamed she was wearing a bubble-gum pink poufy ballgown and was running late to her wedding that was being held in the downtown mall. She also forgot to buy favors, so she was frantically filling Dixie cups with buttons, lol.

I did last night, I was like running through our wedding timeline and couldn’t figure out the ceremony. I woke up at like 4am and took a few minutes before I could stop trying to figure it out…that I was sleeping and not planning the wedding lol.

@everyheart: Dixie cup with buttons!!! HAHA that made me literally LOL. We dream of the strangest things!
@icetea: It’s so confusing when you wake up thinking like you’re still dreaming. I was seriously mad at my Fiance for a little while until my brain finally made the connection that no, he did not leave me standing at the altar! haha

I started having them two weeks ago lol my most recent one was that it was time to walk down the aisle (my moms walking with me) and my mom was in pjs and her hair and makeup wasn’t done and she didn’t seem to care ! Lol when I told my fmil about my nightmares she just laughed and said wait til you get pregnant those nightmares are crazy!

@starz88962: When someone wrongs me in a dream, I’m pretty mad at them when I wake up, too! Sometimes it takes me awhile to get over it. My Fiance was really confused when I was fuming at him over breakfast one time, poor guy.

@starz88962: Yes! Unfortunately I’m spending so much time thinking about wedding stuff it follows me to bed. I dreamt the other night that my family weren’t getting ready the morning of the wedding and wasting time fixing cars (??) and I ended up having a huge fight with everyone. This likely comes from the fact that no one’s really interested in any of it. I get the whole “no one cares about your wedding as much as you”, but half the family are in the wedding party, so it would be nice if they paid attention to some things! Oh well.

I had a dream (nightmare really) the other night that my lifelong hairdresser double booked my wedding weekend and couldn’t do my hair so she sent a “replacement” and the girl didnt even know what a curling iron was! haha its silly now that I think about it but at the time I was TERRIFIED!!!

I never ever ever in my entire life have had dreams about real things UNTIL a few weeks go when I had a nightmare about the wedding!!! I dreamed, among other things, that it was in some crazy and generic hotel, and that my best friend, who is doing my hair, showed up at 9:15 for my 10:30 ceremony. Beings that she’s NOT a morning person in any way, that’s kind of a real fear lol. I don’t FEEL stressed about the wedding but maybe I’m just sleeping it off!

I have loads: 1. get to the wedding and no one knows where the flowers are. 2. I am in a disgusting yellow dress. 3. I am marrying my ex, again and can’t find my fiance. Oef!

I just had my first wedding-related dream, and it wasn’t good.
I had my mother and sister buy the favors, and they bought mini deodorants and “electric flu shots” – which turned out to be huge needles filled with bright orange liquid. And for the bridal party, they bought pencil sharpeners.

- Wedding: October 2014 - UK
@starz88962: I had my first one last night, and it was actually quite distressing for as ridiculous as it was. I dreamt that my mum had decided that we were having our wedding THIS October rather than NEXT October, and she’d hired my uncle to be the photographer. Except, he and my aunt and cousins missed the ceremony and were very late for the reception. As did my other cousin and her family. And just before I got to the ceremony I realised I didn’t have any makeup on at all, and my mum wouldn’t go home and get my stuff so I could put it on. And then my Uncle broke his camera, and for some reason one of my cousins brought her horse and the reception was in my mum’s garden and everyone was riding around on this horse, which was wearing a party hat…
At the time it all made sense and was TERRIBLE.

I have had 3 of these! and I’m sure they will only increase
1. Fiance made me change my dress dozens of times at my reception, and I basically missed by whole reception because I spent the whole time changing in the bathroom!
2. We forgot to go around to all of the tables to thank people for coming, and everyone left right after dinner because they were mad at us.
3. Not exactly wedding related, but I dreamt that no one came to my shower. There were like 3 of us sitting around my Mom’s table and that was the whole shower.

@starz88962: I had my first one last night. I was in a bridal shop and I found “the dress” only everyone hated it and told me it wasn’t a wedding gown. My mother kept yelling at me to just take the ugly thing off. Lol IRL my mother is the sweetest person you could ever meet.

I’ve had a few that started about a month or two ago. One of the dreams involved a bridesmaid having only a plastic poncho for a dress and another involved my fiance not wanting to go through with the wedding. I think nightmares are common. I’m about 3 weeks out and I’m hoping I don’t have anymore!
