How about something engraved or embossed? I didn’t want a plain band either and I was leaning toward a channel set diamond band but my heart wasn’t totally in it. We ended up having this embossed band made for me. It is in a tree of life design and I absolutely love it. I forsee me wearing this on it’s own after we’re married.

I did not want a plain band because I wanted the option of wearing the band on its own and a plain band looked a little boring to me. I also didn’t like the look of a straight plain band with my ERing. So I went with a custom round and marquis band which I think looks pretty awesome on its own!

alpinebride:  Thanks! I got mine from a small jeweller in Sydney but I’m pretty sure you could have any good jeweller make you something similar. I’d also Google images and jot ideas down to show them so they know what you want.

Here’s a better pic.

alpinebride:  Ah thank you! I had my ring custom made but you can get pretty much the same ring from Lord of the Gems on Etsy. I’d definitely recommend this particular style. The milgrain gives it a vintage feel.
