What about getting two? The matching ring and then a plain one you can wear at work? Both can be blessed on your wedding day.

@PinkMagnolia:  I agree with this. I know you said you don’t like to stack them but you wouldn’t have to… you could buy two wedding bands (one plain band and one to match your e-ring) and then just wear the plain one to work and the one that matched your e-ring when you aren’t at work.

I have two – a plain 2mm one and a diamond band that I got for my 10th anniversary.  I probably wear the plain band about 75% of the time because it’s just more practical.  I also love the look of just the plain band.

I say go with the matching band.  It sounds like you truly want that one in your heart.  Platinum is not going to be affected by you washing your hands a lot, so can you get platinum for your metal?

First of all your ring is dreammyyyyyy!  And I agree with what @mylittleviolett said, I think you should get the matching one for when you aren’t at work, and a plain one that you can wear to work.

I am in the same boat as you & we decided to buy two!

I have a beautiful engagement ring & matching band that I wear 99% of the time, however, when we travel (where i will be swimming) or work, or sports etc, I have a plain wedding band that I can wear and not feel bare.

That was the best solution for us. And it can be a cheap alternative band. We went to a mall jewler when they had a sale and got rings for under or close to $100. Not to shabby!
