I’ve heard that a lot of people like to get their wedding band in a larger size so that the set doesn’t feel too tight.

This happened to me too!!  I don’t know exactly why that is or how common it is, but I know that my engagement band is 2.5 mm and my wedding band is 3.5 mm, so I think maybe that’s why mine felt tighter?  I don’t know.  I wear a 5 3/4 in my engagement ring and I think my wedding band is a 6 1/2.  It’s weird.

My jeweller told us that if the band is wider, then people often need a bigger size. Also, if the inside of the band is more square, the ring often feels tighter than if the inside is more rounded

@solidarity:  This happened to me too…it has to do with the curvature of the band.

Does it feel that way when you try it on alone, or when you wear it in combination with your e-ring.  If it’s the latter, that is because two rings taking up space on the same finger often will make both rings together feel tighter than either ring alone.

I just received my band and am having the same problem.  However I just decided to get use to it because it does still fit.

Is the band thicker than your ering’s band?
