Some people don't even like to get wedding rings; they keep their engagement ring on their left hand without any other ring. Or you can do as you wrote, get a new wedding ring and wear your engagement ring on your right hand. A bigger picture of the ring would help.
What a cool idea! I think it's a beautiful sentiment. Why don't you just get a silver band that matches the setting and wear it like a traditional set?
I have an aquamarine ring and plan to get a diamond band as the wedding band. I will either wear them together on the same finger or like you said one on one hand. Very cool ring and idea!

So, my fiance proposed to me on a beach without a ring, we found some really pretty stones along the beach and had one polished and set into a silver ring. So I would like to get a wedding ring but nothing really goes with my engagement ring, except something just a plain band. Should I wear my engagement ring on my right hand and wedding ring on my left hand. And any opinions on design that might work. My fiance wants to have a wooden ring for himself, and I like pretty filagree patterns, but have been looking on etsy and haven't come up with much.
Ok I'm also indecisive, so got two stones set into rings, and probably will switch back and forth between the two as an engagement ring.
