FI and I went a few weeks ago to buy our bands. We wanted plain simple bands. I wanted a small thin band, I wanted a 2mm but the sales woman talked me into the 3mm and now I am afraid that it is too think to go with my e-ring. Should I go exchange it?

I think it looks beautiful together. I think you could even go larger on the band and it will still look great!

I really like it, but it’s up to you!

I like it, but you’re the one that has to wear it so whatever you want!

I think it’s great with your e-ring! Your stone seems to almost cover both, so I think it’s a nice balance.

I’ve always liked the larger bands paired with a smaller-banded e-ring, but that’s just me. I like it but it you don’t, take it back!

i think it looks great! i agree with other posters–if anything, i would get a thicker wedding band!

i personally think it complements the e-ring, but like everyone else said, you’re the one who’ll be wearing it. 🙂

I like the bigger band too. I also agree that the ring (diamond) balances it out nicely. I would keep it! But, if you are not happy, then I would exchange it.

Personally I like the symetry and balance of similar sized bands. But as most said, go with what YOU feel most comfortable with.

I like it too but I think like the pp said I personally prefer similar sized bands… I have a 2mm band and two 1/8 ctw 2 mm bands and love the look of the bands, but not the diamonds. I would prefer a plain band (yeah I am nuts)!!!

I’m with the PPs who think that it balances out the e-ring. If it was too small, I think it might end up looking like another e-ring band that’s just missing a diamond. It looks great as is!

I like bands with similar sizes, so I would exchange it for the 2mm band.

I’m going to go against the flow and say I think you should exchange it. You should either exchange it for the 2mm band or something wider than the 3mm band. There is just enough difference between the 2mm and 3mm to make it look a bit off. Either the bands should be the same width or the wedding band should be substantially larger. If it were me, I’d select a 4mm rather than going down to a 2mm only because your diamond is so large and IMO needs a larger band to balance it. But of course, you’re the one who has to be happy with it, so exchange it for the 2mm if that is the look you want.

I think that it looks great! Also, consider that when you wear the wedding band alone, it’s going to look great! Wearing just a 2mm band alone might be too delicate looking.
